Happy Rain Cloud!
We've got this happy rain cloud pendant on display at our Mapunapuna bead shop that people have been asking about so I thought I would share the info! Now I blogged about how to make the glass tile pendants previously and this is pretty much the same technique. Use Glossy Accents to attach your decorative paper to the back of the tile, trim the edges of the paper down so that it's within the perimeter of the tile and seal the edges with more Glossy Accents. Take some filigree bead caps and flatten them with a chasing hammer. Use Glossy Accents to glue the flattened bead caps to the paper, leave enough filigree protruding so that you can attach beads later. Put a thick layer of Glossy Accents on the back of the tile and wait for it to dry. Use E-600 or the 5 minute 2 part epoxy to glue on the bale and leave that to dry. The beads can be attached to the filigree with head pins, wire, and jump rings. We've got ball chain necklaces in a variety of colors so it's very easy to just slip the pendant onto one to finish off. This is a nice change up from the standard tile pendant so stop by if you have any questions!
I'll see ya at the store!
