Crankin' Out Crafts Episode 233 - Guava Juice 1 – Finger Lei

This week on Crankin’ Out Crafts we’re doing things a little differently. We’ve decided to focus in depth on a new lei featured in our new lei making book entitled “Handcrafted Lei and Flowers, Vol. XI.” Each of this week’s episodes makes one section of the Guava Juice lei as featured in our book, but each section can be made into a lei all on its own too! You can find the detailed instructions on page 10 of our book and the first of the three episodes showing how to make this lei, right here.

Learn how to weave with your fingers to create the Guava Juice Lei!

Watch the first part of the Guava Juice Lei here: Crankin' Out Crafts: Episode 233 - Guava Juice 1 - Finger Lei

Supplies:
Fuchsia 1/8” satin ribbon
Pink 2mm rattail
Purple mix 2mm rattail
Scissors

Keep in mind that this finger lei is made on your hand and has to be done all in one sitting. Fortunately, once you get the hang of pulling one loop over the other, the lei can speed by. Join us again Wednesday for the next part of the Guava Juice Lei!

*Lei Making supplies are available for purchase at all Hawaii Ben Franklin stores and online on www.craftingisfun.com.
