Fancy Treat Bags

Hi there! Today I will be showing you how to fancy up plain paper craft/treat bags.  It's the perfect way to create unique goodie bags for your upcoming parties!

You will need the following supplies:
- Paper Treat Bags, any color
- Border/edge punch, your choice of design
- Accessories to attach, for example: ribbon, glitter tape, washi tape, flowers, gems, etc.

First, you will need to cut in the sides of the bag, about 1 inch down. You only need to cut the 2 sides, not the front and back of the bag.

Holding the front and back edges together, insert the top of the bag into your edge punch.  You will need to turn your punch over so you can align the edge of the bag with the edge of the design.  Carefully place the punch and bag down on the table and press down.

Be extremely careful while removing your bag from the punch as it might get a little stuck and it does rip easily.  I recommend keeping a tweezers handy.

Now repeat on the other side of the bag.  Depending on the size bag you use, you will have to adjust how you line up your punch so that there isn't a gap in the middle.  Another way to do it is to make your first punch in the center of your bag then work outwards.  That way the design will be even on both sides.

Once the design at the top of your bag is punched out you can begin to decorate! Use double sided tape, glue dots or craft glue to adhere your accessories.

There you have it! These are perfect for every occasion and are completely customizable.

Until next time, happy crafting!
