Gilding How-To

Martha Stewart Crafts Liquid Gilding is a one-step leafing paint that gives a rich metallic luster to projects. What exactly is gilding? Gilding is the art of applying metallic leaf to a surface. Gilding can be applied to almost everything, wood, metal, glass, and fabric. Gilding comes in a variety of colors including gold, silver, and copper.



Use a soft bristled brush and lightly paint in one direction. Give one hour to dry between applications. This is one of the great ways to gilding in craft projects. The different colors can accent so many decorative craft projects.
