In the Black

If you read Kahului's post on Friday, you already know about our newest product, the black canvas. Obviously, we're all very excited about our new find so you'll probably be seeing a lot more about black canvas over the next little bit. I wanted to show off some our display pieces to give you an idea of how versatile the canvas can be.

Crayons, canvas, and a heat tool are all you need for these works of art.

These two pieces are done using our latest "hot" art technique, crayon dripping. I love how the drip art gives the work such a feeling of movement and I LOVE how the colors seem so much brighter on the black canvas. As you can see, we can't seem to stop melting our crayons.

Opaque acrylic paints can really pop on a black canvas.

This canvas panel was done using acrylic paints. You can see how easily anyone can make a beautiful work of art.

A little paint, a canvas, and a stencil, and Pow! A ready-to-hang work of art.
This canvas used a mix of acrylic paint and paint pens with a simple flower stencil. By far my favorite despite it's simplicity, this last piece was so very easy to make. I think it turned into a bold and stunning work.

Hope you liked looking through our black canvas gallery. All of these pieces are on display right now in our store at Enchanted Lake, so stop by and check them out.
