Today's Idea & Inspiration is a Nativity my d.s.l. Mark and I made from driftwood we picked up at the beach.
Supplies:
- Driftwood
- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Take a walk on the beach ;p... pick up driftwood (we picked up 2 grocery bags)
- Sift through driftwood, looking for wood shaped like the figures you wish to include in your Nativity, pillars, shingles, etc.
- Chose 2 long pieces to use for the "foundation", the flatter the better.
- Build a "ladder" with the 2 long pieces and short ones across, glue together for the floor.
- 4 "pillars" can then be glued to the corners of the floor.
- 4 pieces for the roof line, 1 for the ridgepole.
- Shingle roof as desired.
- Adhere nativity figures to floor.
Happy Crafting!
