Simple Clothespin Card/Picture Holder

Supplies:
Craft pick
Wooden Dowel (1/16" or 1/8" in diameter)
Mini clothespin
Glue gun









Lets Get Started:

Gather your craft pick or dowel and a mini clothespin. 

Add a dot of hot glue onto your craft pick or dowel and connect it to the back of the clothespin.

This is how it should look like:

At this point you can embellish your clothespin.  You can paint it with acrylic paint, mod podge with glitter, add washi tape and much more.

This card/picture holder is great for any occasion.

Tis the Season for Homemade Gifts

It's getting down to crunch time! Is everyone ready for Christmas? Well if you're anything at all like me, you've probably got a few gifts left to make. Here's a simple and yet elegant looking wall hanging that has a dual purpose as a holder for small things that you pick up along your daily adventures but never know what to do with. Things like ticket stubs, business cards, and change all fit perfectly in these tiny pockets. All you need to complete this project is some ribbon and baking twine, a few mini wooden clothespins, some paint, stencil brushes, and stencils. The stencils I used are called "Four Seasons" and are from our Martha Stewart Crafts line. You might even want to go a step further and make this gift extra special by stenciling a family name on the hanging.

Turkey Time

Whoops! I was so focused on Christmas that I almost forgot about Thanksgiving! For everyone else out there like me, Thanksgiving is on the 24th this year. Here's a special project I dreamt up just in time for the occasion.



They're place card holders for your Thanksgiving dinner table. This would be a good project to have your kids help you with because it's quick and pretty simple.

Your supplies are: scrapbooking paper (in fall colors), chipboard "gear" shapes, mini clothespins, a wooden spoon (like the kind you get with those little cups of ice cream), a pencil, scissors, and double stick tape or glue.

First, measure and mark your mini clothespin on the wooden spoon. Use your scissors to cut the spoon on the marked line.

Next, trace two gear shapes and one spoon shape on scrapbooking paper and cut out. Glue or tape the paper to the shapes.

Then, draw two eyes for your turkey face and cut out a small triangle for it's nose. Glue or tape the mini clothespin to the gear shape and then the turkey face to the clothespin. Make sure that everything will stand up before gluing.

The place card gets inserted in the mini clothespin so your guests know where to sit. That's it! I think I'll name my turkey "Sprocket." Have a fun and wonderful Thanksgiving!
